So Mondays are typically very stressful or busy days for the entrepreneur as well as the 9-5'er! You are getting around to all the emails you missed over the weekend and writing out your daily and weekly goals. Well I now try my hardest to be available at 12pm on Mondays as Spelman Museum has a FREE yoga class that is open to the public!
Besides the fact that its free yoga your are taking a yoga class in a museum!I love their setup up! Yoga mats are provided along with a blanket, a block and a bottle of Spelmen water!
“Blocks and blankets are called props, and they are used to support your body while practicing yoga asanas (postures) and to help modify certain poses as you learn them. ... provide support during balance postures. create a method for total relaxation. improve alignment and create extension in the spine.”

I've taken 2 classes there and both were taught by Chelsea of Chelsea Loves Yoga! A Spelman Alum and Yoga Powerhouse. Her class flows, provides understanding and positive energy as we move through the positions. Chelsea reminds me that Yoga as a practice and way of life not just a class! The magic of so many melanated bodies moving together, to hear the breath of your neighbor in the middle of the day to know that you may be practicing next to a professor or a freshman is simple powerful.
Chelsea shares a little secret at the end of her classes that is super cool but you will have to attend a class to experience it. I have been in the habit to have a Kale wrap or visit Tassili's Raw reality after class. II have my wrap outside to reflect over class and show gratitude.
The last class I took hubby along and he felt the magic too!
